One of the most anticipated products from the tech world is the new iPhone by #Apple. With the constant advancements in technology and design, each Smartphone producer aims to outdo themselves with each new release, but Apple keeps taking the cake with more amazing features each year.
The iPhone is perhaps the most talked about tech product of the ages with aficionados constantly speculating new and exciting features of the next iPhone.
iPhone 7 Unveiling
The iPhone 7 which is set to premier in September 2016, which is the traditional time of the year for iPhone launches. The unveiling is set to be held at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Auditorium on 7th September – which is Apple’s preferred keynote venue.
Three Models or Two?
As always is with the launch of a new iPhone model, there have been many rumors circulating the product. Since Apple gives out no hints about the product prior to launch, we’re only left with speculations and rumors.
One of the biggest rumors circling the iPhone 7 are that there will be three models; iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone 7 Pro. The iPhone 7 Pro was said to have a dual lens camera. From all the pictures going around on the web showing the three iPhone 7 models, the only difference is that of size, with the iPhone 7 Pro being slightly bigger than iPhone 7 Plus, and also the dual lens of the back camera on the iPhone 7 Pro.
But this rumor has been debunked by Evan Blass, an infamous smartphone leaker, who tweeted in July that there would only be two models of the iPhone 7. Since the dual lens technology is working for Apple, there are chances that they’ve incorporated that in the iPhone 7 Plus and scrapped the iPhone 7 Pro altogether.
No Headphone Jack
Another rumor surrounding the iPhone 7, which is probably the most controversial, is the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack. The new iPhone will instead rely on wireless headphone or Lightning headphones – which use the Apple’s infamous lightning cable jack to connect with the device. There have been rumors of Apple developing truly wireless earbuds, but it is unsure whether they will debut in time for the September iPhone 7 launches. If this rumor ends up being true, this removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack will be Apple’s innovation at its finest.
Apart from these groundbreaking rumors about the new iPhone 7, the rest are not as exciting. Speculations say that the external design will be much similar to the previous iPhone models, but maybe with tidier antenna lines. There is talk of a slightly thinner body for the new iPhone 7, and talk about a new color option – “Space Black”.
The new iPhone premiers in the fall and pre-orders will be open on 9th September.
