Whatsapp turned seven this week

Whatsapp messenger

This had been an amazing journey for them with millions of users worldwide. In future, their major interest would be the security. New features would be introduced to allow you have more ways to stay in touch with people and close to those you care about.

Normally at any anniversary, people begin to remember and cherish the past, so it is with whatsapp.

WhatsApp started 2009

When whatsApp was started in 2009, the use of cell devices seemed radically different from what it is today. The Apple App Store was there, but it was only a few days or months old. Many smart phones sold in that period of time had operating systems that belonged to either Nokia or Blackberry. Google, apple and Microsoft, which dominate the market overwhelmingly today contributed to a mere 25 percent of cell phone devices sold at that time.

In the next years (7 is the target), the company wants to focus their efforts on the mobile phone companies that vast majority of people use. By the end of 2016, the company plans to end their services to the following cell phones which were once round breaking:

  • Nokia S40
  • Blackberry OS and Blackberry 10
  • Nokia Symbian S60
  • Android 2.2 and Android 2.1
  • Windows Phone 7.1
  • iPhone 3GS/iOS 6

These devices had been a very important t part of whatsapp’s success story, but as the time progresses and the soft ware’s develop, these don’t have the capabilities that whatsapp needs to expand its features in the future.

Whatsapp Recommends

The decision had to be tough one no doubt, considering the amount of success whatsapp had by the help of these devices. But decisions are to be made and what is better for people ranks higher than what they actually want decision for us to make. Demands of people have to be kept at the utmost priority. It is the people who are customers, it is they who talk to their loved ones and share things by using whatsapp And loved ones using whatsapp. If anyone of you who uses any of these targeted mobile devices, whatsapp recommends them to upgrade to a newer version of Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone before the end of 2016 to continue using the app.

This may seem a bit too straight but for the future of apps and for this app to spread its features to new dimensions, this was necessary
